Getting started
- You upload selfies, the app trains a private AI character that resembles you (or whoever you uploaded), and then you generate photorealistic images of that character in scenes you choose. Photos take about 23 seconds each; you can queue 16 at a time.
- Variety matters more than count. Include 3-16 photos with different angles, distances, expressions, lighting, and outfits. Close-ups and full-body shots both help. Avoid sunglasses, hats, or anything obscuring the face. Avoid group photos for training — use solo shots.
- JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF. HEIC files (Apple's default for iPhone photos) are not currently supported — convert to JPG first, or use the Apple Photos app to export as JPEG.
- About 30 minutes. You'll get a notification when your character is ready. You can close the app while it trains.
- About 23 seconds per photo. You can queue up to 16 simultaneous generations.

Features
- Yes. Use duo mode to combine two trained AI characters in one scene. Great for couples, parent-child portraits, and memorial photos where you want to be in the frame with a loved one.
- Yes. Pets are first-class citizens in Lover Snap — train an AI character on photos of your dog or cat the same way you would for a person.
- Yes. Upload clothing reference images and the AI will apply them to your character. Performance is best on solid colors and simple patterns; complex prints can be tricky.
- Live Photos and short video memories are available on the Advanced plan. We generate ambient motion only — no simulated speech.
- Resemblance scales with the variety of your reference photos. About 75% of generations are good, 10% are exceptional, and 15% have visible AI artifacts that you can edit in-app.
- No. Lover Snap will not generate AI photos of anyone under 18, living or deceased. See our AI Content Policy.
