Lover Snap

Memorial · For a sibling

For the brother or sister you grew up beside.

Sibling loss is a particular kind of grief — the person who knew you longest is gone, and the family photos you appear in start to look incomplete. Lover Snap can make new ones. Wedding photos with your brother as best man even though he didn't live to be there. A holiday with your sister at the table again.

Reference photos that work well

  • Pick one era — the age you most clearly remember them or want to remember them at
  • Include photos that show distinguishing features (hairstyle, expression, clothing style)
  • If you and your sibling look alike, mix in photos that emphasize each person's distinguishing features
  • Train your own character at the age you want to be in the photo — usually current age

Scene ideas

  • · Wedding — your sibling as best man, maid of honor, or bridal party
  • · Family table at a holiday or anniversary
  • · Outdoor scene — a place you used to go together
  • · A quiet portrait, just the two of you
  • · Family reunion missing them — created so the photo finally has everyone

Common questions

My sibling and I were close in age and similar-looking. Will the AI confuse us?
If you and your sibling have strong family resemblance, train both characters with as much distinguishing reference material as possible — different hairstyles, eras, settings. Mention specific features in your custom prompts when generating duo photos.
My sibling died young — am I "aging them" if I put them in a current-day photo?
Important question. Lover Snap will not generate aged-up versions of a deceased person — we hold the AI to the era of the reference photos you upload. If you have photos of your sibling at 25 and you're now 40, the generated photo will show them at 25 and you at 40. Some users find that meaningful; others find it painful. There's no universal right answer.
Sibling memorial for someone who died as a minor?
See our specific page on memorial for a child who has passed away. We do not generate new AI photos of minors, but we can help with restoration of existing family photos that include them.

Ethics & dignity

Six commitments we hold ourselves to.

  1. 1

    Consent comes first

We never generate AI photos of someone unless the person uploading them attests they have the right to do so. You are the steward of your loved one's memory.

  2. 2

    No minors

We never generate photos of children or teenagers, living or deceased. This is a permanent product policy, not a default we can toggle.

  3. 3

    No simulated speech

Lover Snap does not generate audio, deepfake video conversations, or any media that puts words in a deceased person's mouth. We make photographs, not impersonations.

  4. 4

    Private by default

Reference photos and trained characters are stored encrypted, used only for your generations, never used to train shared models, and deleted within 30 days of account closure.

  5. 5

    Honest representation

Every generated photo carries content credentials so it can be identified as AI-generated. We never market memorial photos as "real" or "indistinguishable."

  6. 6

    Grief support, not replacement

Lover Snap is a tool for honoring memory. It is not therapy, not a substitute for grief counseling. We link to support resources for anyone who would benefit from them.
