Video memories: bringing AI photographs gently into motion
Advanced subscribers can now turn a still AI photograph into a short Live Photo or video memory. Ambient motion only, no simulated speech.

Video memories
Today we’re shipping Live Photos and short video memories on the Advanced plan. You can take any AI photograph you’ve generated and bring it gently into motion — a small smile, a head turn, the kind of motion that makes a photograph feel alive without making it feel fake.
What it generates
Short ambient motion. A few seconds of natural movement attached to a still image, in the same way Apple’s Live Photos add motion to ordinary iPhone photos. The result feels like a moment captured rather than a video filmed.
What it does not generate
Speech. Dialogue. Conversation. Full-length video impersonation. We have been explicit since launch about this boundary, and Live Photos / video memories don’t change it.
Why ambient motion only
Synthetic speech is one of the most ethically loaded forms of generative AI, especially when applied to deceased loved ones. We are not in a position to make that responsibly today, and we don’t want to be the company that normalizes it. A breathing photograph is a remembrance; a fabricated conversation is something else.
How to try it
Open the app, generate a still photograph, then tap the Live Photo or video memory option on the result. Requires the Advanced plan — see pricing.
