Lover Snap ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our iPhone app and website. By using Lover Snap, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

• Account information. Email address, Apple Sign In identifier, and basic profile.
• Uploaded photos. Reference photos used to train AI characters.
• Generated content. Photos you create with the app.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are billed by Apple via the App Store; we do not see your card number. Refund-related Stripe transactions use tokenized references.
• Feedback and support requests. Messages you send us.

1.2 Automatically collected data

• Device information. Device type, iOS version, language, country, anonymized device identifier.
• Usage data. Actions you take within the app — photos generated, characters trained, scenes used. Aggregated, never sold.

2. How we use your information

• Train and run AI characters on your uploaded reference photos.
• Generate AI images at your request.
• Provide product support and respond to your requests.
• Maintain app security and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations (tax, financial reporting, lawful requests).

3. Memorial-specific privacy

If you upload reference photos of a deceased loved one, those photos are treated exactly the same as photos of yourself: encrypted at rest, scoped to your account, never used to train shared models, and deletable on request. The deceased person's photos are not flagged or treated as special data — they are private to you.

We do not knowingly retain photos of a person after a verified next-of-kin requests their removal. To request removal of photos of a deceased loved one uploaded by another user, email [email protected] with verification of your relationship.

4. LLM and AI training opt-out

Your reference photos, generated images, trained AI characters, and account activity are never used to train shared AI models — including third-party large language models, image models, or foundation models. We do not sell or license your data to AI training data providers. This is a hard product policy, not a default we can change.

5. Data storage and security

• Photos and trained characters stored on encrypted servers (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit).
• Account data partitioned per user; characters cannot be accessed across accounts.
• Access to personal data limited to authorized personnel under written confidentiality agreements.
• Closing your account schedules all photos, characters, and generated images for permanent deletion within 30 days.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information except in these situations:

• Service providers. Apple (billing), Stripe (refunds), Cloudflare (hosting, R2 storage). Bound by written agreements.
• Legal obligations. If required by law, court order, or to protect safety.
• Aggregated data. Non-identifiable usage statistics may be reported externally.

7. Your rights

• Access. Request a copy of your data.
• Correction. Update inaccurate information.
• Deletion. Delete photos, characters, or your entire account anytime.
• Opt-out. Unsubscribe from marketing communications. Transactional messages (billing receipts, security alerts) cannot be opted out of.
• Portability. Request your data in a machine-readable format.

8. Regional rights

• EU/UK (GDPR). You have additional rights including objecting to processing and lodging complaints with your data protection authority.
• California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your information as defined under CCPA.
• Brazil (LGPD). Similar rights to access, correction, deletion, and portability apply.

9. Cookies and tracking

The Lover Snap iOS app does not use cookies. Our website uses essential cookies, plus analytics and consent cookies managed through Cookiebot. See our Cookie Policy.

10. Age restrictions

Lover Snap is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors and we do not generate AI photos of minors regardless of who uploads them — see AI Content Policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are summarized at the top of this page and communicated to active subscribers via email.
