AI Content Policy
1. Minors
Lover Snap does not generate AI photos of children or teenagers. This applies regardless of whether the upload is a living or deceased subject, regardless of whether the person uploading is the child's parent or legal guardian. The system will refuse generation when reference photos appear to depict anyone under 18 with high confidence; ambiguous cases default to refusal.
For memorial uses involving a deceased child, the app supports restoring or recomposing family photographs that already include the child — for example, improving a damaged or partial photo — but will not generate new scenes, new ages, or new compositions featuring the child. See our guidance for memorial use involving a child.
2. Consent and third-party likenesses
When you upload reference photos of another person, you attest that you have the right to do so. This is a load-bearing legal commitment in our Terms of Service. Specifically, you affirm that:
- The person depicted is yourself, a family member, or a person whose likeness you are otherwise authorized to use; and
- You will not distribute generated images in ways that could reasonably damage the depicted person's reputation or privacy; and
- If the depicted person objects, you will stop generation and delete the trained character.
We do not actively police every upload, but we honor takedown requests from depicted individuals or their next of kin within 48 hours. Send requests to [email protected].
3. Simulated speech, video, and impersonation
Lover Snap generates still images and short ambient Live Photos. It does not generate audio, dialogue video, full-length video impersonation, or text in the voice of the depicted person.
4. Sexual content, violence, and illegal acts
The system refuses to generate sexually explicit content, content depicting violence or self-harm, content depicting criminal acts, or content that violates Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. Repeated attempts may result in account termination.
5. Public figures and celebrities
You may not train AI characters using reference photos of public figures (politicians, celebrities, athletes, public personalities) unless that public figure is yourself or a family member of yours. We reserve the right to refuse training or generation based on apparent likeness to known public figures.
6. Content credentials
Every generated image carries metadata identifying it as AI-generated, including C2PA content credentials where the platform supports them. This applies to memorial photos and to all other generations. We believe this is part of treating the technology — and the people depicted — with honesty.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in account termination without refund. Severe violations (CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, fraud, harassment) are reported to relevant authorities including NCMEC where applicable.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our policies change. Material changes will be summarized in a changelog section and announced to active subscribers via email.
