Bio

Jiuhong Deng is an independent app developer based in Asia. He builds and operates Lover Snap, an iPhone app launched in late 2024 that uses Black Forest Labs' Flux image model to generate photorealistic AI photographs of people with their loved ones — including those who have passed away. The app supports 34 languages and is sold via the Apple App Store with a 3-day free trial.

Before Lover Snap, Jiuhong worked on a number of independent products in the indie-hacker / solo-founder tradition. He is the sole engineer, designer, and operator of Lover Snap and personally reads every support email sent to [email protected].

Public commitments

• Author of the Lover Snap Ethics Framework v1.0.
• Co-author (with users) of the AI Content Policy that governs what the app will and will not generate.
• Operates under the principle that AI photography of deceased loved ones can be done with dignity, provided the rules are published and enforced in product, not just in policy.
